About Senior-High
Our Mission
Senior-High was created by Karen Lustman to gather information about cannabis products and how they may be able to help active adults address specific health issues, disseminate factual information about these products to seniors, and help our communities seniors enjoy alternatives to pharmaceuticals.
Frustrated with the lack of information available to consumers who use legal products to help address ailments to come with age, Karen decided to partner with the people she trusts… the medical community that studies cannabis, the health care providers that prescribe it to their patients, and the seniors who know what really works for them.
Armed with a laptop, an AARP membership, and a Medical Marijuana card, Karen and her team are determined to gather and share the latest developments and experiences from people like you who have found benefits by using legal, medicinal cannabis.

Karen grew up close to the extended family, of grandmas, grandpas, 18 aunts and uncles and over 50 cousins. Summers were spent on her grandparents farm, with all the cousins together dividing up chores from slopping hogs to digging potatoes. For them, it was summer camp.
Karen is married to Lewis Lustman, and together they have raised three daughters, Misty, Amanda and Haley, and are working hard to spoil grandson Hunter who refers to Karen as “Nana” and Lewis as “Grumpa.” Hunter likes French fries and for his second birthday, Karen and Lewis took him to Hooters. Great fries! And the last time Hunter’s parents have spoken with Lewis or her.
Karen has worked with in the recruiting industry for 30 years. Prospecting and selling the service of finding talent for medical device and pharmaceutical companies kept her consistently growing and building a solid career within the industry. Her sales results were rewarded year over year by consistently winning President’s Club. She also managed a team of top recruiters that would win Branch of the Year for 9 out of 10 years.
In 2018 Karen decide to switch her focus to Alternative Medicine. Having damaged her knees in a fall, after countless visits to numerous doctors, she found no prescriptions or invasive procedures could ease her pain.
Quite unexpectedly, Karen – who had never tried cannabis in her life – was introduced to it and found it was far more effective than any potentially addictive prescription she had been given. Once she realized that, her efforts went into learning more and better understanding the plant. It became a path and a passion.
Karen took classes and visited dispensaries to learn everything she could about cannabis. The more she learned, the more she shared the information to her friends. She found so many people her age who did not know how cannabis could relieve their pains. She shared her knowledge and introduced a continuously increasing number of seniors and active adults to cannabis products that, based on Karen’s experience, could alleviate their pain, anxiety, sleepless nights, and many other maladies people experience as they age – and which the medicine of old could not help.
And thus began Senior-High.
